MedEscort International Inc.
Founded in 1986 in Allentown, Pennsylvania, MedEscort has helped revolutionize air ambulance and international medical discharge services, addressing the needs of hospitals treating uninsured and/or undocumented patients. From identification of an uninsured and/or undocumented patient to their successful return to their country of citizenship, MedEscort works alongside hospital leadership, social work, risk management, and legal stakeholders to facilitate end-to-end care.

Our Mission
MedEscort's mission is to support American hospitals and reunite families by providing patient-centered, compassionate, and comprehensive end-to-end discharge solutions for uninsured and/or undocumented patients

Our Method
For nearly 40 years, MedEscort has supported hospitals facing the complex challenge of reuniting families while still providing care for uninsured and/or undocumented patients — offering end-to-end care, comprehensive case assessments, bed-to-bed transportation services, and 24/7 availability. Beyond providing case management support for patients, MedEscort has also been a leading provider of air ambulance services to insurance providers across the country.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does MedEscort only handle air ambulance transfers?
When appropriate, we prefer to use a commercial airline. However, our primary goal is always to ensure the patient receives the necessary care. If needed, we dispatch an air ambulance and manage end-to-end transfers.

Does MedEscort fly patients who are undocumented?
No, but we can assist in your patient’s re-documentation process. Once an appropriate care facility or family home has been identified in the patient’s country of citizenship, we leverage our global relationship network to efficiently and effectively collaborate with foreign policymakers and/or diplomats, as needed, to secure necessary travel documents.

What if the hospital can’t find family members?
We collaborate with a range of international agencies and have a team of experienced investigators to assist in locating family members.
